Sheeba has left the building… 27 April 2008
Sheeba-dog, the first dog I ever really loved, has gone to the great doggie pet rest area in the sky this afternoon. She was the best friend Jenny and Thomas ever had and a total lover.
My favorite thing when I came to visit was giving her ice cubes- she knew the sound of the ice grinder in the fridge so well that when anyone went to the freezer to get ice she came running and asked nicely for one. And she totally was my cuddle dog at night when I came to visit- up until my last visit she always snuggled in bed with me.
And she LOVED to dress up for Halloween, just like Jenny and Thomas!
Jen and Thomas, in happier days…. Hopefully this is what the big doggie pet rest area in heaven looks like for Sheeba!
She may be as close to a kid as we get. We loved her very much.
She really was a great girl- and I can’t imagine how you are feeling right now. When Huck went on his walkabout, there was always the hope that he was safe and ok. And even when I was sure he was gone for good- I didn’t have to be there to see it. I’m so sorry, sister.
