(two seconds on my feet and they already have beagle hair on them!)
I love these socks. Just wait until tomorrow when I am wearing my tshirt AND my socks. I will be unstoppable!

What is that I spy in my mailbox? A package from SD a few short days before my birthday!!!

What do we love? Presents.
Why do we love them? Because they are presents!
Presents!!!
Red and Green inside the envelope… yarn? Oh please please let it be yarn…

Looks like it could be yarn… it is soft and smushy inside the red paper…. yarn yarn yarn????

YARN!!!!!!
Thanks baby! I see nice soft RED socks in my future!
knitting update:
On our trip to Gettysburg this weekend I finished up Sock No2 of my red eyelet socks. Last time we visited Gettysburg I was working on this sock and I finally finished it. I still can’t find No1, though I have photographic proof that it exists.
Here I am almost finished. Hard to knit with a dog on your lap!

I finished this hat for my nephew- I posed before but I finally added the poofball to the top.
It fits a three year old a bit better than it fits James.

And I am currently working on a huge big black boring pair of socks for James- but it is exactly what he wants.

We found out the other day that we aren’t going to Egypt for work followed by a secondary week long birthday vacation with James in Egypt. So we needed to quickly rustle up a new trip.
Requirements were that we could use our mileage credit to get there, that it would be warm, ideally near water, and not crazy expensive. I had my heart set on a week in Mexico on the beach- maybe even getting our diving certification so we would be ready for going on the Gail and Egan wedding cruise in May.
When I got home last night James and I looked at all our options and decided that we would go to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. We got an invite a few days ago for some floor space and James is worried about missing more than one day of school- we we are going down for 5 days to celebrate Mardi Gras, eat my favorite food, go to my favorite bars, and hang out with my favorite people!!
On Thursday the 31st we are going to have a little party type/happy hour thing here in Baltimore and then head to New Orleans for the weekend. Perfect Birthday Trip!
I had a query from mom for birthday ideas and so in anticipation of more queries- I will just go ahead and give the rest of you a clue on the only thing that I really want for my birthday. I’ll give you a photo hint…. you can click on each of them for a better idea…
Does that help?
Sock yarn, y’all! If you’re really ambitious- buy me some yarn and I’ll knit you some socks too!

I’m looking for a good man sweater with this type of neck- what is it called?
I think it might like it wish some sort of overlapping buttons rather than a zipper? Ideas? Suggestions?
Maybe a raglan- I’d like to make a bit man raglan sweater for James with big needles. The rest of the sweater should be simple- I just need help finding a good pattern for him and maybe some yarn suggestions?
Woci is knitting- she got some really beautiful yarn yesterday, Paton’s Soy Yarn. It is beautiful and incredibly soft.

Today she showed me her pattern- somehow last night she invented 1×1 ribbing all on her own!
Though I think she is twisting her stitches because she knits backwards from me and won’t listen to me about her backwards knitting. Ha!
