Other Blogs. 8 November 2007

Filed under: blogroll, interesting — Amber @ 7:25 am

I don’t have much of a bloglist on my page because I use Bloglines to manage my subscriptions, but maybe you are interested in the blogs I read, eh?

Most of my favorites are people around the world- some people I know, some places I have been, and some are complete mysteries to me.

Here are three of my favorites right now- from Marrakesh, Australia, and South Africa. Enjoy!

My Marrakesh is up for a 2007 weblog award in Best Middle East and Africa blog category, see below to view and vote. I think that the true indicator of a great blog is one that makes me want to move into the blog, in this case, I want to pack up the husband and beagles (maybe leave the cats) and move to Marrakesh. Think there might be work for me there? Anyway- I adore the entire blog, but especially this post.

My Marrakesh: A place for lifestyle and design, and the bemused tales of an American family’s quest to build a guest house in Marrakesh.
Vote for My Marrakesh for the 2007 Annual Weblog Awards right HERE.

A vote may be cast each day until November 9. Thank you for your support.

two peas, no pod

Two Peas, No Pod: We are a couple of vegan parents living back in Canberra (Australia) after many adventures elsewhere. C is a PhD student researching in human rights, while P works in development. We blog about everything from parenting, to politics, to vegan cooking, stopping off to include our travels and random thoughts along the way. In March this year a 3rd pea joined our ranks - our beautiful daughter Lily.

Christie at the Cape. My lady friend Christie from college. When I first went to SA, I came back and talked and talked and talked about how much she would love it. Many years later, she does!

She teaches in the geology department at UCT and blogs A LOT about rocks- but her photos are great and she usually tries to explain the rocks for the rest of us.
